HL's mom is still in coma & under machines to help her bp & breath.
Pls continue to pray.
Visiting hour today is
1230pm- 2pm or
5pm-7pm

DAY 3 ( 9/2/2010 )
Pls continue to pray for HueiLin's mom. Drs are taking off meds today for further monitoring
UPDATES: Dr isn't very optimistic on HueiLin's mom. they cut off the meds today at 6am and
said her mum won't wake up so soon and that very high chances she will go into a vegetative state.
Pls pray for a miracle.

Pls continue to pray for healing upon HueiLin's mom as she has developed a fever according to HL's bro.

Fever has went down but Dr said she got Pneunomia ystdy, so they're giving her antibiotics.
Pls continue to remember HueiLin's mom in your prayers!

Huei Lin and family needs your prayer(URGENT)
URGENT!
Dear youths,
Please keep Huei Lin(Lisa Lee) and her family in prayer. Her mum has got into an accident and is currently placed under intensive care and monitoring.
Pray for:
-God's peace to reign over their family
-God's strength and grace to face everyday
-speedy recovery for her mum (good response to the treatment)
-salvation to the other family members
She'll need to retire restfully for the week.

Please keep Ps. Gideon's second daughter, Elena in prayer.
"she's warded for dehydration as she was vomitting due to food poisoning," Ps Gideon.
She is currently admitted to Sri Kota Hospital.
Some of the youths visited her earlier, if you would like to do the same kindly call Ps. Gideon to ask for the room number. :)
For now, I'm not very sure what's her condition. But I'll keep you updated.

Family Prayer Rally
I hope it is not too late :)
I would like to remind you that there is a Family Prayer Rally going on later in the night at 8pm in Sanctuary. Youths are greatly encouraged to come for this rally.
Come and be prepared to see God move among us.

It is 1ST OF AUGUST!

How are the dude & dudettes doing out there?
It is AUGUST yo! the 8th month of the YEAR!
AND AND AND
It is the start of our FASTING too!
What is FASTING???
The Bible presents fasting as something that is good, profitable, and beneficial.
The book of Acts records believers fasting before they made important decisions (Acts 13:4, 14:23).
Fasting and prayer are often linked together (Luke 2:37; 5:33).
The purpose of fasting should be to take your eyes off the things of this world to focus completely on God.
Fasting is a way to demonstrate to God, and to ourselves, that we are serious about our relationship with Him.
Although fasting in Scripture is almost always a fasting from food, there are other ways to fast.
Fasting is not intended to punish the flesh, but to redirect attention to God.
Fasting should not be considered a“dieting method” either.
The purpose of a biblical fast is not to lose weight, but rather to gain deeper fellowship with God.
By taking our eyes off the things of this world, we can more successfully turn our attention to Christ.
Fasting is to be done in a spirit of humility and a joyful attitude.
Matthew 6:16-18 declares, “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show men they are fasting. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that it will not be obvious to men that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”
Aight, aight now that you know what is fasting, WHAT ABOUT DANIEL FAST? you would ask.
The concept of a Daniel fast comes from Daniel 1:8-14, “But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way. Now God had caused the official to show favor and sympathy to Daniel, but the official told Daniel, ‘I am afraid of my lord the king, who has assigned your food and drink. Why should he see you looking worse than the other young men your age? The king would then have my head because of you.’
Daniel then said to the guard whom the chief official had appointed over Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, ‘Please test your servants for ten days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then compare our appearance with that of the young men who eat the royal food, and treat your servants in accordance with what you see.’ So he agreed to this and tested them for ten days.”
The background of the Daniel fast is that Daniel and his three friends had been deported to Babylon when Nebuchadnezzar and the Babylonians conquered Judah (2 Kings 24:13-14). Daniel and his three friends were put into the Babylonian court servant “training program.” Part of the program was learning Babylonian customs, beliefs, laws, and practices. The eating habits of the Babylonians were not in complete agreement with the Mosaic Law. As a result, Daniel asked if he and his three friends could be excused from eating the meat (which was likely sacrificed to Babylonian false gods and idols).
So, a Daniel fast is eating only fruits and vegetables for a certain amount of time and abstaining from meat products.
The Bible nowhere commands believers to observe a Daniel fast. As a result, it is a matter of Christian freedom whether to observe a Daniel fast.

Our Boss Needs Us.
Hi guys, as some of you might already know…our beloved, retired-superman, Youth Pastor, RR Chaplain, National Commander, Klang Internet Fishing Forum President aka Pas Gideon Lee will be admitted to Pantai Hospital Bangsar today (Friday) to receive treatment for the stones in his kidney. The doctors found not 1, but 2 stones!! Good things in life come in pairs…how did it get there? Possible reasons:
i. Cmdr likes to eat stones
ii. Never drink enough water
iii. Never sheee sheee…always like to ‘tahan’…???
More info about the 2 lucky stones in his kidney
Stone no 1: 9mm (we shall call it Elton) – resale price of about RM35.90
Stone no 2: 3mm (we shall call it John) – resale price of RM9.90 (this is a real bargain)
How are they going to treat it? Well, here’s the plan:
For Mr John (the 3mm stone), the doctors mentioned that this one can be passed out. Not too sure if via big or small time banking transaction. Lets pray that the transaction will go on smoothly. Could be a painful ride.
As for Mr. Elton (the big one), the doctors mentioned that they will have to blast it. Ever watched the movie Armageddon? Plant a nuclear bomb in the stone, detonate the bomb, and the stone will become smaller pieces. Problem solved. But since nuclear bombs are difficult to source, they have opted to use laser. Now, coming from alayman…you might ask “Are they going to use later and burn thru his skin and then burn a hole in the kidney, and then only burn up the stone??? Wouldn’t that leave a big hole right from the side up to the kidney??” Oh well, we’ll let the doctor figure out how to settle this part. But the plan is – LASER and BLAST AWAY!!
Point to note – thank God the kidney comes with a spare…J
Anyway, my point is…lets uphold our pastor in prayer ok? After all, we will ever only have ONE pastor Gideon in our lifetime. So let’s stand alongside him and pray pray pray hard ok? Perhaps we could ask the doctor to remove some additional ‘parts’ around the waistline too. Hahaha. Do keep Serena and the kids in our prayers too. In times like these, lets come together and pray for our wounded hero.
Alright Pas Gideon, the team will be praying for you. Go in strength and power…and come out alive with both your kidneys still intact! God blessss!! We will see you very very soon. Remember to give the doctor and nurses the one-million-dollar smile and make sure the hair is all nicely combed ok? Gotta look good for the paparazis…
