It'll be easier on the roads now.

Tank hit empty?
Breakdown?
You've gotten so far and now you've lost it?

Many times we've felt this way and we just let go easily most of the time. We breakdown. We turn to our pastors and call our close ones, thinking maybe they can help but always end up realizing that all they can do is hear us out but they can never fill that emptiness inside of us. So, what really is the answer? How do we get back on track? The answer's just right in front of our eyes. Just take a look at the signboards. It has always been there for us but yet we never really use it. We never tried it. We turn to other directions which only gets us lost. In fact, we'll just stop after feeling worn out, tired, dry and weary.

Here's where we should turn to:

GOD.
Matthew 11:28-30. 28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."

  • So now u know where to turn? Are u sure? Well, God said turn to Him. Mp3/4s', Walkman s', I pod's, friends, pastors, aren't Him. All these materials and humans can only distract you for that moment but it isn't the right turning you're looking for. Him= JESUS. For God, and God alone can renew, refresh and recharge us.
  • -and I will give you rest. God WILL give u rest. He did not say 'I might', 'Maybe', or 'I'll take into consideration' to give us rest but He said He WILL. And that is a GUARANTEE! So, fret not, doubt not and fear not but believe it.
  • 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."What exactly is God saying here? A yoke is never light. In fact, it is very heavy. God was trying to say that if you choose to follow him and do things his way, you will find that you're yoke will actually get easy. Which means, put God the center of everything in your life. Pray and seek his answers and obey Him. ''Yoke is not an egg yoke ahhh!''-Pastor Gideon. Here's what a yoke is:
It's that inhumane thing on the oxes!

We need to do things with God's strength and not ours. With God's help, things will always be easier and we'll always be on the right track. God's yoke is easy and His burden is light for He will be carrying it along side you. He shall not let u do it on your own and He will never make things too hard for u. Besides, spiritual things can only be done by spiritual strength. When we do things our way, we tend to forget that God is in control and rely on our own physical strength. And that's how we get tired and worn out, physically AND spiritually. 3 Steps on how to avoid burnouts:-
1.Develop habits that refresh u physically.
  • Rest.
  • Balanced diet.
  • Regular exercise.
For 1 Corinthians writes:
20you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body.

2. Develop habits that recharge u emotionally.
  • Solitude.
Mark 6:31Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, "Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest."
  • Recreation.
  • Laughter.
Proverbs 17: 22 A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

3.Develop habits that renew u spiritually.

  • Daily quite time with God.

2 Corinthians 4: 16Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.

  • Small groups. (cell)
Ecclesiastes 4:
9 Two are better than one,
because they have a good return for their work:

10 If one falls down,
his friend can help him up.
But pity the man who falls
and has no one to help him up!

11 Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?

12 Though one may be overpowered,
two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.

  • Worship. (God)
Psalms 59:16
But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.

Conclusion:
Turn to God for strength. Only He can refill your tank. And He WILL give u rest. There is no other way. Follow Him. Do things God's way and You'll find that His yoke is light. Finally, you're not superhuman. Everything and everyone burns out. You gotta take care of yourself physically, emotionally and spiritually.

Now U know where to refill your tank?
You wont hit empty anymore.
It'll be easier on the roads now.

Chiang Mai, missions

Being on a missions trip has always been an enthralling task for me and I believe to most of us who long to see the very core and feel heartbeat of God to His creation. While Sarawak has been a regular visit for us youthalivers, Chaing Mai was a whole new dimension to look at.

Apart from being different in the terminals that we should go(international than domestic), we've got ourselves into a place where Thai is not our language, we couldn't easily communicate with them in Bahasa like we did in Sarawak and the diverse culture. But though we may not origin from a similar background, but we do bear the love and joy of being rescued and treasured by Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour.

To have the opportunity to be there was just mind blowing. As Ps. Gideon and I got down the plane, my mind was just overwhelmed by thoughts of not doing or coping well with the leadership seminar and loads of worries just bogged in unnoticed. In my heart, I told God that I'm going to totally rely on Him and move on even though things seem to be blinding to me at that moment. So, off we went to Mae Wang church, where we were greeted by Ps Somsak's family. I got the chance to speak to some of the youths there and they were simply down-to-earth, magnificent people who're willing to spend the next few days being trained by Ps. Gideon.

Ps. Gideon kick-started the meeting with his power pack leadership materials =). I must say that him in action is just an inspiration-a heart that's devoted to see God's people equipped and armed with His word. Soon, we came up with a structure, a strategy, a goal for them to achieve for their own youths. " youth camps, english camps, music classes...." suggests the enthusiastic youths while they were brain storming. I had nothing else but to offer them the utmost respect for their passion for Christ in reaching out to their community.

Well, there came the last day of the seminar when I was responsible to share with them about prayer. The butterflies in my tummy were ever so ready to flutter! the night before I just sat in our room and prayed. As I opened my mouth, I just felt God's peace and assurance as I gave them this one little knowledge that I held dear-prayer. We had a fun time just talking and discussing with one another with our trusty translator Ladee.

The day before we left, we had a worship session with the church in Thai. As we were just worshipping, I drew back and literally saw a praying and worshipping church. His presence was just all over the place , as the water cover the seas(Habakkuk) and for the final day, we prayed, dedicated the whole youth and church to God and many responded to the altar call Ps. gave. It never cease to amaze me where 6 people gave their lives to Jesus-beautiful!

So..... join us next year? see Ps. Gideon in action plus his parang and widlife fettish,.......... There's so many things to say. But next year, if you are ready, do grab hold of this opportunity to bless other in chaing mai. Remember that we're blessed to be a blessing! God is and will always be faithful in all He does and all we need to do is trust in the hope that never fails.

"Nowadays things begin to move slowly..."

"If you realize, many things can't grow in church or in cf..everywhere. Going to church has become a life schedule, daily routine for most people. Its meaning also 'lari' already. We can even expect what will be the next agenda"
- INTI CF SJ Chairperson

This was how my friend Brian Chow as the chairperson challenged his CF. And I would love to share with you what he wrote to his committees.

Read It.
Understand It.
And
Evaluate yourself.
at the end
Practice It.

Let us start preparing ourselves and listen to what God wants to tell us. I will need each of you guys to share based on your own experiences in Church or in any organization on what you have done to encourage each other in building up our faith in Him. As we have seen many changes had take place in 2009. A total of 180 degrees have hit all over the world. With politics issue in Malaysia, Thailand (Emergency), America and etc. Looking on the economy side, recession had taken place in all over the world too. People begin to lose their jobs and lost of directions. If you actually realized, many of races have begin to unite and fight for their own rights and begin to gain the courage to rebel against the authority.

Who shall be the blame? The people who fight or the people who leads?

Well, that is not for us to judge and conclude. As God allows things to happen, I believe something is taking place. Lets pray that God will take control of every situation that happens.

Seeking Him for strength to work, wisdom to lead, faith to believe, love to share and word to evangelize. Time does not wait for anyone, things change, politics change, economy fluctuates, social change

BUT yesterday, today and tomorrow, God remains the SAME. The Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. Lets hold our hands together and pray to see lives been transform, souls been saved, sick been healed, blind shall see and a wonderful impact on INTI CF. Bare in mind that, this is not just a club that we are looking after, but it is beyond a club that God can use us to make the changes for HIM.

Do come with opinions and share with us what God has put into your life. Pray for the theme, vision and mission that God wants to place in INTI next semester. The sparks had just began!!!Are you ready to set it big into a fire that burns. Lets arise and see you guys there! Stay focus!

"I believe, things had stunt for a period of time. Automatically we are doing a lot of stuff either because of responsibility or part of our weekly schedule to go to church. Not because of hunger for Him."

One word.. ROUTINE had taken over the word PASSION

Come to concurrent this Sunday and don't at all sit back and relax during praise and Worship. Or even the preaching. We need to have a heart that desire to learn and not being a know-it-all person. Listen, though you've heard about it because every time you listen attentively, God speaks differently. Just like the same scripture you read at different timing in life gives different meaning.

Come and expect great things to happen!Be excited! Be VERY excited!
I know I am! :D

Don't ever let routine take over passion, remember that.

WHY GOD MADE MOMS

Answers given by 2nd grade school children to the following questions:

Why did God make mothers?
1. She's the only one who knows where the scotch tape is.
2. Mostly to clean the house.
3. To help us out of there when we were getting born.

How did God make mothers?
1. He used dirt, just like for the rest of us.
2. Magic plus super powers and a lot of stirring.
3. God made my mom just the same like he made me. He just used bigger parts.

What ingredients are mothers made of?
1. God makes mothers out of clouds and angel hair and everything nice in the world and one dab of mean.
2. They had to get their start from men's bones. Then they mostly use string, I think.

Why did God give you your mother and not some other mom?
1. We're related.
2. God knew she likes me a lot more than other people's mom like me.

What kind of a little girl was your mom?
1. My mom has always been my mom and none of that other stuff.
2.. I don't know because I wasn't there, but my guess would be pretty bossy.
3. They say she used to be nice.

What did mom need to know about dad before she married him?
1. His last name.
2. She had to know his background. Like is he a crook? Does he get drunk on beer?
3. Does he make at least $800 a year? Did he say NO to drugs and YES to chores?

1. My dad makes the best spaghetti in the world. And my mom eats a lot.
2. She got too old to do anything else with him.
3. My grandma says that mom didn't have her thinking cap on.

Who's the boss at your house?
1. Mom doesn't want to be boss, but she has to because dad's such a goof ball.
2. Mom. You can tell by room inspection. She sees the stuff under the bed.

What's the difference between moms and dads?
1. Moms work at work and work at home and dads just go to work at work.
2. Moms know how to talk to teachers without scaring them.
3. Dads are taller and stronger, but moms have all the real power 'cause that's who you got to ask if you want to sleep over at your friends.
4. Moms have magic, they make you feel better without medicine.

What does your mom do in her spare time?
1. Mothers don't do spare time.
2. To hear her tell it, she pays bills all day long.

What would it take to make your mom perfect?
1. On the inside she's already perfect. Outside, I think some kind of plastic surgery.
2. Diet. You know, her hair. I'd diet, maybe blue.

If you could change one thing about your mom, what would it be?
1. She has this weird thing about me keeping my room clean.. I'd get rid of that.
2. I'd make my mom smarter. Then she would know it was my sister who did it not me.
3. I would like for her to get rid of those invisible eyes on the back of her head.

Kids Jokes

  • When Johnny had a new sister, he became envious of the attention she was getting. One day while his mother was nursing the baby, Johnny was getting unyielding about being on mom's lap. Mom wasn't able to deal with both children at that time and told Johnny to go wait for her. He then asked his mom: "Mommy, can you please put Clara back in your tummy now?"

  • A Sunday school teacher asked her class why Joseph and Mary took Jesus with them to Jerusalem. A small child replied: "They couldn't get a baby-sitter."
  • A mother and her young son returned from the grocery shop and began putting away the groceries. The boy opened the box of animal crackers and spread them all over the table. "What are you doing?" his mother asked. "The box says you can't eat them if the seal is broken," the boy explained. "Therefore I'm looking for the seal."

  • Can people predict the future with cards?
    My mother can.
    Really?
Yes, she takes one look at my report card and tells me what will happen When my father gets back home.

  • "Mom, when I grow up will I be your mom?"

  • My mom had been getting on my little sisters about not picking up their clothes. I was sitting in my room, and heard my mom say, "Who left all this underwear all over the floor?"
As innocently as an angel, my sister Anne replied, "The Panty Fairy came and left us presents"!

  • After putting her children to bed, a mother changed into old slacks and a worn out blouse and proceeded to wash her hair. As she heard the children getting more and more rambunctious, her tolerance grew thin. At last she put a towel around her head and stormed into their room, putting them back to bed with severe warnings. While leaving the room, she overheard her three-year-old say with a shaky voice, "Who was 'that'?"

Some Humuor

MY MOM TAUGHT ME...

All the mothers in each part of the world lovingly try to teach their kids some of life's most important lessons so that they could successfully face the difficulties of life and at the same time also enjoy the life. But despite all the efforts made by mothers in the end, little brats just end up growing into bigger brats without learning a thing. Still mothers are satisfied that at least they tried their best to teach their children something along the way. Thanks, to all the mothers!

My Mother taught me about ANTICIPATION...
"You should just wait until your father gets home."

My Mother taught me about RECEIVING....
"You should know that you are going to get it when we get home!"

My Mother taught me to MEET A CHALLENGE...
"What were you thinking about? You should answer me when I talk to you! You should not talk back to me!"

Mother taught me MEDICAL SCIENCE...
"If you do not stop crossing your eyes, they are going to freeze that way."

My Mother taught me to THINK AHEAD...
"If you do not pass your spelling test, you would never be able to get a good job."

My Mother taught me HUMOR...
"When that lawn mower cuts off your toes, don't come running to me."

My Mother taught me how to BECOME AN ADULT...
"If you don't eat all your vegetables, you would never grow up and always remain a kid."

Mother taught me about GENETICS...
"You are just like your father."

Mother taught me about WISDOM OF AGE...
"You would understand me only when you get to be of my age"

My Mother taught me about JUSTICE...
"One day you will have kids, and I hope they turn out to be just like you...Then only you will see what it is like!"

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT MOTHER

Her children arise up, and call her blessed.
Proverbs 31:29

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT MOTHER
Mother is adored in each part of the universe. Even the Lord give due respect to the mother. The great epic 'Bible' also throws light on the place of mother in the life of a human being. What 'Bible' says about mother is...

Genesis 3:20
Adam named his wife Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living.

Exodus 20:12
"Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.

Leviticus 19:3
"Each of you must respect his mother and father, and you must observe my Sabbaths. I am the LORD your God.

Deuteronomy 5:16
"Honor your father and your mother, as the LORD your God has commanded you, so that you may live long and that it may go well with you in the land the LORD your God is giving you.

2 Kings 4:30
But the child's mother said, "As surely as the LORD lives and as you live, I will not leave you." So he got up and followed her.

Proverbs 10:1
The proverbs of Solomon: A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son grief to his mother.

Isaiah 66:13
As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem."

Ezekial 16:44
"Everyone who quotes proverbs will quote this proverb about you: "Like mother, like daughter."

Luke 1:43
But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

Luke 2:51
Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart.

John 19:26-27
When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, "Dear woman, here is your son," and to the disciple, "Here is your mother." From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.
